La visita a este museo fue de nuestras mejores experiencias en Amsterdam. El museo es bellísimo por dentro y por fuera. La construccion del edificio fue dirigida por Pierre Cuypers, arquitecto que también estuvo a cargo de la construcción de la estación central de trenes, ambos edificios son similares y muy bellos. El museo posee una increíble cantidad de piezas de arte para admirar. La entrada a este museo la compramos con la tarjeta Go City. El museo se encuentra muy cerca del museo Van Gogh y la estación del tranvía queda prácticamente al frente. También el edificio de la Heineken queda a corta distancia. El personal del museo es muy amable y están mas que dispuestos a ayudarte. recomiéndo ampliamente la visita a este hermoso museo
Uno de mis museos favoritos. Me encantó!!!! Obvio que mucha obra quackera. Sus porcelanas de Delf. Fui 2 veces porque no queria perderme (en lo posible) nada. Me gusta tomar o almorzar algo en los cafés de los museos. Este es muyyy moderno. Y del shop ni hablar, queria traerme todo de recuerdo

El museo es espectacular. Bien distribuído, la audioguía es práctica y se pueden ver las obras con tranquilidad. Imprescindible si te gusta la pintura flamenca pero también pueden verse muchos detalles que la contextualizan.
Excelente museo con mucha obra de arte de muchos lugares del mundo. Muy bien organizados y con app en tu idioma para seguir el recorrido . Obras de artistas muy reconocidos como Rembrandt, Rubens, etc. Muy recomendable.
Primordial entrar en la web y separar la fecha de viaje o visita al museo al menos con 6 u 8 semanas antes para tener espacios adecuados. El guia es muy importante ya que van a poder conocer detalles unicos que al recorrer con auto guia o solo no se conoce. Lo recomiendo vale la pena. El museo tiene excelente ropero para guardar ropa, paraguas, baños limpios y un bar y restaurante de primera. Vale la pena separar 1 dia para el museo
Una maravillosa experiencia. Tomamos muchas fotos. Puedes agendar visita guiada o usar el dispositivo para la gira. Además, si escaneas el código QR, puedes escuchar la gira en tu dispositivo y ahorras. Los baños son limpios, hay guarda ropa. El café tiene cositas deliciosas.
El Rijksmuseum es un museo imprescindible si visitas la ciudad de Ámsterdam. Es conveniente sacar la entrada por adelantado, y para su visita hay que considerar un tiempo estimado que oscila entre 2 y 3 horas. Las obras que alberga son una verdadera maravilla, destacando "Ronda de noche", "Los síndicos de los pañeros" o "La lechera".
Uno de los mejores museos del mundo con infinidad de obras de renombre donde destacan obras de Rembrand, Goya, Rubens... entre muchos otros. Ideal para pasar toda la mañana.
Museo muy amplio y lleno de variedad porque nos encontramos arte, artesanía y por supuesto historia. Cuenta con obras de pintores neerlandeses y también de otros países, nos encontramos con un Goya, creo que sólo había uno. También alberga bastante s obras del maestro Rembrandt. Para poder ver La lechera, de Johannes Vermeer, tuvimos que hacer cola por la gran cantidad de gente que se agolpaba a su alrededor. El museo es muy completo ya que hay expuesto mobiliario, vajilla, porcelana... Se necesita casi un día para poder verlo. En nuestro caso fueron 5 horas para poder verlo entero y sin mucha pausa, de lo contrario no llegas a su totalidad

Un gran museo general europeo, centrado, como es lógico en las grandes obras pictóricas holandesas. Rembrandt tiene una gran atención y hay obras de Vermeer o Hals o Steen icónicas. Uno de los museos indispensables si se visita Amsterdam.
El museo está muy bien presentado y el edificio es imponente. Es un tanto difícil seguir el orden de las salas por número y algunas obras plásticas no estaban en ese momento
It's so big, and so much to see, that it's a bit overwhelming. You can buy tickets at the gate, also. We enjoyed our time here, although we should have allowed for more time. We sought out The Masters paintings and then went back to other things.
So... it's the Rijksmuseum, of course it's an amazing collection, one of the premier art museums in Europe. It's also huge, relatively easy to go through in sections. I would say a must do experience for anyone with even a passing art interest.

Gigantisch groot en prachtig gebouw dat een indrukwekkende collectie aan kunst tentoonstelt. Heel wat grote namen en heel wat van hun bekendste werken zijn hier te vinden in originele staat. Wij boekten een gegidste toer, wat het voordeel biedt je een eerste keer onder te dompelen in het museum, en je naar werken te leiden waar je anders zou aan voorbij gaan. De evolutie in kunst wordt ook mooi verteld, waardoor je ook heel wat van de werken beter begrijpt en kan situeren. Leuke weetjes zijn natuurlijk ook steeds een nice to know. Na de rondleiding krijg je nog onbeperkt de tijd individueel in het museum te wandelen, het is er gewoonweg prachtig. Als afsluiter een wandeling in de tuin en we hadden een meer dan geslaagd museumbezoek!
Très grand musée, beaucoup de choses à voir et très bien renseigné (plan utile et facile à utiliser). L’entrée est un peu chère mais ça vaut le détour !
We spent hours here following the audio guide and exploring some other exhibits of interest. This is well worth a visit, especially for the Rembrandt pieces.
Aug. 8, 2025: Our guide Claire W. was superb in every way. She was very knowledgeable of the arts/paintings during the Dutch Golden Age period. We visited Rembrandt, Johannes Vermeer, and others that I can't remember offhand. I was very impressed of her vast knowledge, history, and culture of all the sections we visited. We were so lucky we got her that day. Claire also has a degree in art history so I can say we hit the jack pot having her as our guide. Johannes Vermeer is the artist who painted "The Girl with a Pearl Earring". Unfortunately, the painting was in Hagen(?). The museum itself is architecturally beautiful. Make sure you visit the shop and have lunch at the museum cafe. The menu is simple but delicious. I highly recommend. Last note. If you haven't visited Amsterdam, make it your bucket list. Make sure you visit the following museums: Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh (about 3 minutes walk from Rijk), and Anne Frank. You must purchase tickets in advanced for Anne Frank museum.
Beau choix de musée si on veut voir au même endroit les œuvres des maîtres hollandais et d'autres pays europeens. Incontournable pour les amateurs d'art à Amstedam !
Non è tra i musei più famosi ma la visita è stata molto interessante soprattutto perché le collezioni sono varie. L’app che ti guida è molto pratica anche per le mappe chiare.
In a beautiful building, you’ll find paintings that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime. Of course, I’m talking about Rembrandt. If you’re an art lover, keep in mind that you’ll need at least three hours to tour the galleries (after that, fatigue sets in and all the paintings start to look the same :). After soaking up all that art, take a break in the lovely garden, with the sound of water from the fountain whose falling drops lead you into a meditative state. This museum is a must-visit. And full credit for offering free admission to visitors under 18. Let them also learn what true art is, so they can appreciate it and preserve it for the future.
We know this is a world-renowned museum but had little idea how extensive its collections are. We spent 5 hours here and could easily have spent more. There are artisanal things to see that the Dutch excelled at: wood carving, detailed Dutch model ships (one took up an entire gallery), exquisite Delft porcelain, miniature doll houses that are about 7’ long and 5’ tall with exact replicas of everything in the ‘real house.’ As you make your way around, there is medieval art, gorgeous still life paintings, Impressionist paintings and many works by Dutch Masters. It is too difficult to name it all but we were never bored and the interior is very beautiful, with stained glass windows and painted ceilings. There is even a parlor that was piece by piece taken out of a wealthy Dutch family’s canal house and carefully reinstalled in a custom room purposely built for it, including the beautifully carved entry doors. The highlight for us was seeing and appreciating all the Rembrandt paintings! We came away with a much deeper appreciation for his work and mastery. I also am a Vermeer fan and to stand in front of The Milkmaid was incredibly moving! All in all, this wonderful museum gives a varied and comprehensive experience of all things Dutch and is a must-see if you’re in Amsterdam.
The Rijksmuseum is extremely impressive as it spreads out over blocks, and the architecture is quite ornate and eye-catching. Inside, this large, fabulous museum is just full of treasures representing the history of the Netherlands. We enjoyed exploring all the different floors, and the little map they provide to you is very helpful as it highlights the most famous displays to see on each floor. Of course, the painting of the Night Watch is a star, although it is under restoration. There is shopping and a restaurant available on site, so one can pass many hours visiting in quite an enjoyable manner. This famous museum is a must-see in Amsterdam.
Mooi gebouw en een spectaculaire collectie. De bekendste werken van vb Vermeer of Rembrandt stonden telkens dicht naast mekaar uitgesteld, waardoor je soms een ‘gekneld’ gevoel kreeg. Het echt bewonderen van penseelstreken of -technieken was hierdoor niet altijd mogelijk. Op de modernste afdelingen (vb Cobra) was er heel weinig volk in vergelijking met de Nachtwacht. Nochthans zeker ook de moeite om vb de stoelen van Rietveld of het kleedje van Pacco Rabanne te bekijken! Reserveren van tickets is helaas noodzakelijk.
A beautifully curated collection of art. There are so many masterpieces to see! Another busy museum that I’d recommend you arrive early with comfortable shoes and a full stomach. The museum itself is a work of art and great works by new favorite Jan Steen.
It's an interesting museum even if you don't know most of the painters, you can still find some interesting works. Sadly when we went they were renovating The Night Watch but we still had a good experience.
Museo ricco di arte, storia ed opere, che ha poco da invidiare a molti altri musei europei. Le esposizioni sono ricche e le audioguide permettono di entrare nel dettaglio di molte delle opere esposte. Il tutto in un ambiente curato ed elegante.
Great museum with so many incredible pieces. Its so big that no matter what time you start you wont be able to see everything and you cant leave and re enter which was kind of annoying. The art is incredible though and its definitely worth going to, and keep in mind its free under 18.
From Rembrandt to Van Gogh to other masters, the Rijksmuseum has it all. A definite must see in Amsterdam. Make sure you schedule a couple hours to soak up all this place has to offer.
The highlights guide in the app (free) was very useful and helped us navigate key pieces during our visit which was time limited and needed to take account of our young child. Unfortunately the app route plans assumed you can use the stairs. In general, spacious and airy despite large numbers of visitors. Well lit. Slightly disappointing to be turned away from the gardens ten minutes before they were due to shut.
Amazing gallery, so big, but well organised with getting in and then with cafe etc . Fantastic collection of art , and everything else, China, furniture, so much more. We spent 5 hours wandering around . One of best in world and we have been to many city galleries . Highly recommend !
This was a nice museum to visit. The Rembrandt painting "The Night Watch" is still undergoing restoration work (you can also view the room where it is being worked on), but there are many other works of art here worth seeing.
Groot en mooi museum, zowel van binnen als van buiten, leuk voor een ochtend of middag, helemaal als je ook naar de tuin gaat.
Bra utställningar förutom den med 1900-tals konst. Rekommenderar att man hyr audioguider. Underlättar genom att de valt ut att berätta om vissa konstverk. Svårt att hinna med alla tavlor. Trevlig lunchrestaurang. Lite väl dyrt inträde dock.
We traveled to the museum on the first day we landed. Our flight was delayed but we made it in time for the tickets we had booked weeks earlier. We got the family challenge audio tours since our kids are young (ages 7 and 9). It was a great way to explore the museum. The kids really enjoyed it. I would only remind you to make sure you see other parts outside the family audio tour. The grounds were also lovely. Highly recommend.
Il museo più importante di Amsterdam, per gli amanti dell'arte è obbligatorio andarci. Consigliato assolutamente, conviene prendere i biglietti online per evitare troppa fila.

If you can only set aside a couple of hours, I recommend you first visit the Gallery of Honour, which focuses on the masterpieces of Golden Age Dutch painting and includes celebrated works by Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer, Jan Steen, and Frans Hals. The highlight of this section is without a doubt Rembrandt's astounding massive artwork The Night Watch, one of the most famous paintings of all time. If you've got the whole afternoon, you might also want to explore the 17th century galleries dedicated to the Netherlands' Golden Age when the Dutch dominated global trade before their maritime power was eventually eclipsed by the British. These galleries demonstrate the might and wealth of the young Dutch republic and they include paintings, ship models, luxury furniture, and the splendid pottery known as Delftware. If you've got even more time, you can also explore the Asian Pavilion, which contains the museum's relatively small but still interesting collection of East Asian artefacts, the medieval section located on level 0, the 18th and 19th century displays on level 1, or the 20th century displays on level 3. A must do when in Amsterdam. Up to you how much time you want to spend. Lots to see, we made a point to see the highlights, the most famous "The Night Watchman" by Rembrandt. You will get your fill of Dutch artists. We purchased our tickets when we arrived no problem. It does get crowded around the most famous paintings, there are information sheets in all languages explaining the significance of the most famous paintings, very helpful to understand what you are looking at. A good way to spend a couple of hours.
Unieke ervaring. Het museum heeft 3 verdiepingen, ieder verdiep/afdeling van een specifieke tijd. Je kunt hier ook lunchen en wat drinken. Als je alles wilt zien en niet wilt haasten raad ik aan om in de voormiddag al te gaan, namiddag is het drukker. Bestel tickets de dag er voor, meestal zijn er nog genoeg beschikbaar (check voor de zekerheid) want de rij om ter plaatste tickets te kopen kan lang zijn. Als je ticket al de dag ervoor hebt gekocht kun je direct binnenwandelen. Tip: boek of koop de extra tourguide niet. Je kunt in de app van het Rijksmuseum audio’s beluisteren bij specifieke schilderijen + je kunt er ook routes op vinden. Kies zelf waar je langswandelt en wat je bezichtigd. Zorg dat je oortjes meehebt of een koptelefoon om de audio’s te beluisteren. Overall: hele leuke daguitstap!!
First visit to the Rijksmuseum. I was pleasantly surprised at the architecture of the building itself and lovely formal garden. Unfortunately the museum still in the process of restoring The Night Watch, one of my favorites, but the process as described by the tour guide was informative. I do wish there were more of his pieces, however Vermeer and other Dutch artists help fill the void. One of Van Gogh's portraits was a surprise. The building itself is beautiful with stained glass and Neo-Gothic arches and columns. The atrium and library were worth the visit. Highly recommend a visit here is worth one's money and time.
So many Dutch works of art it was an incredible museum to visit. We only spent a couple hours there, but I would think it might take a couple days to truly see it all. We did not encounter large crowds and had no trouble navigating with the map provided.
Incredible museum. You can spend so many hours to explore it. There is so much to see. It’s a great place for those who love art. Also they have nice cafe at the entrance. I am happy that I was able to visit it.
La prima volta che venni ad Amsterdam non riuscii a vederlo, in quanto chiuso. Stavolta il grande museo era fruibile in tutta la sua grandezza, e percorrere secoli di arte europea è stato davvero entusiasmante. Pezzo forte le opere di Rembrandt.
